In order to install and successfully configure DBSP on your equipment, you must be aware of the fullowing system requirements:

Supported Operating Systems

DBSP Engine Interpreter

The DBSP engine interpreter is installed on the Web Server. For more information of which web servers are supported press here.

Currently supported operating systems are:

  • Windows 98 SP/2
  • Windows NT 4.0
  • Windows 2000/XP

Note:

We are currently working on the Linux version for the DBSP Engine Interpreter. Register as a member of this community in order to receive more information of our products.

DBSP Builder RAD

The DBSP Builder application let you design and test your DBSP pages and SQL objects (like SQL sentences). This tool currently runs in:

  • Windows 98SP2
  • Windows ME
  • Windows 2000/XP

 

Supported Databases

Supported databases are listed below. Is not a requirement that the database run on the web server. It may be located on any other station of the network, even running on a different platform or OS.

Interbase® 5x, 6x, 7x

  • Tested on Interbase 5.5 (Not recommended)
  • Tested on Interbase 6.0.1.0.
  • Tested on Interbase 7.0.1

Microsoft® SQL Server®

  • Tested on SQL Server 2000 (Recommended)
  • Tested on SQL Server 97

IBM DB2®

  • Tested on DB2 8.1

Oracle®

  • Tested on Oracle 8.0.5
  • Tested on Oracle 8i
  • Tested on Oracle 9i

 

Supported Web Servers

Supported Web Servers are listed below. If you would like more information on how to configure your web server to run DBSP, press here.

  • Microsoft® Internet Information Services 5.x or superior
  • Omnicron® OmniHTTPd 2.x
  • Any Web Server that supports the ISAPI model.
