Configuring the database access for the DBSP engine becomes a simple task if you use the DBSP Configuration tool.

Opening the DBSP configuration application

You can access this application in this way:

Start->Programs->DBSP->Configuration tool

Select the DB Connections tab. You should see the dialog window below:



Selecting the file to configure

In order to configure a new connection or make changes to an existing one, you must first select a Database Configuration File. This file (DBSP.DBC) stores all information related to database connections of the DBSP Engine installed on a server. With this tool, you can also configure files on different servers over your network.

Press the selection button (…) to the right of the File field. The select file dialog appears. Select the file DBSP.DBC usually located in C:\DBSP or your DBSP installation directory and click the Ok button. You should see something like this:



Configuring the access to your database

Now you are ready to configure access to your database. Select your database type on the list below:

Interbase
Microsoft SQL Server
DB2
Oracle
Informix
